I encourage all who perpetrate fraud to talk about it on a public forum. It
will mean lower rates for the rest of us who do not perpetrate fraud.

Let me add one more angle. You (the generic "you" not Robert) have made
posts to public forums advocating landing gear up in this situation to
get the insurance to pay for things. What you are advocating is
insurance fraud which is a crime. Then one day you have an engine out
and you do land gear up (maybe inadvertently). If the insurance company
becomes aware of your postings, you can be exposed to the risk of
insurance fraud and jail time in addition to the very real risk of
serious bodily injury and all the other risks and undesirable outcomes
pointed out in the quoted post.
I recently read about a criminal lawyer who had a large trout mounted on
the wall in his office with its mouth wide open. Under the fish was a
brass plaque that read "I would not be here if I had kept my mouth
shut." Follow that advise, or better yet, do not do or advocate illegal
things.
