Matt,

I changed my first set of mains (LNC2 standard gear), with about 85% of the tread gone, at 200 hours. They were evenly warn with no bald areas. Now I am about ready to change my second set of mains at 410 hours with about 80-85% of the tread gone. I don't have my log book here at work, but I must be getting around 200 landings per set.

When I built my plane, I noticed that the wheels did not align with the center of the fuselage axis when the gear weldments were aligned with the BL50 ribs -- due to the holes in the large aluminum casting (I forget the part number) not being drilled correctly. Both my wheels pointed to the left or right, I forget which. To fix this, I milled some shims, with a slight wedge, which I mounted under the axles. I made both wheels parallel to the fuselage axis.
