Flame suit still on.
Some years ago I shared some Air Force manuals on
formation with members of my local EAA chapter.
A while later one of the members thanked me and
explained how - using the book - had tried it and become a self taught formation
pilot. I've been more cautious since.
Flying formation is like flying
instruments.
A little ability is dangerous.
A little currency is also dangerous.
The military has to have formation pilots to fight
a war so they get lots of training and are kept current.
Those of us on the list who have done that have not
said that anybody else can't do it.
We said "BE CAREFUL"
