Would not consider an IFR flight in my 4-PT without an AP.  I have 900 hrs
4-P time, much IFR and too much ice.  No AP makes those long cross countries
too much work.  Not having an AP simply puts a heavy workload when a guy
doesn't need it; in the soup, ice, low ceilings, night, yada yada.
