It is a beautiful installation. And clearly, if cooling is the only
consideration, something like you have done is the optimal way to do
that.
A couple of thoughts? Have you ever put a thermocouple under the cowl
after shut down to see what the temperature goes up to on a hot day in
still air, after about 15 to 20 minutes? I am thinking about things
like wiring and ignition harness temperatures.
On a Lycoming, with the mags on the back of the accessory case, that is
probably less of an issue, but on a TCM engine, the mags would be heat
soaked to an unusually high level, I think.
