It is based on the Columbia 400 design. It extends the rudder downward several inches, the bottom of which aligns with a ventral fin. Currently my completed rudder is being used to create this modification. This kit will be available for sale within 3 or 4 months or so but only after extensive flight testing. A very experienced test pilot / aeronautical engineer has agreed to flight test a IV with this modification however my IV will not be completed for at least a year (and keep in mind I've been saying "a year" for about 3 years now). So Turbine Solutions is willing to purchase a rudder, add the extension and the ventral fin to a flying IV and pay for the services of a test pilot to have it flight tested. Anyone interested in having their IV serve and test bed and receive an installed kit at no cost to them please email me and I'll put you in touch with the proper person. Joe Trepicone IVPT
