Fellow Flyers,
The FAA has stopped issuing FAA certificate numbers based on your SSN,
but had been doing so for a couple of decades. The bad guys have
figured this out and it has become an identity theft problem for many
pilots and mechanics. If your FAA number is your SSN then you might
want to use the attached form to make the request to get your
certificate(s) changed.
