Exceeding gross weight - in the real world, what happens? Although we certainly would NOT recommend it for everyday flying, Sue and I flew to Europe and back in our 320 with most takeoffs close to 2000 lbs. We were very aware of the weight and CG and flew accordingly. The airplane is, as would be expected, much more pitch sensitive at these very heavy weights and aft CG. Like Scott, we couldn't use the altitude hold feature of the autopilot for the first couple of hours. Bill Harrelson 5zq@cox.net N5ZQ 320 800 hours N6ZQ IV 0%
