My ACK ELT antenna is the one that came with it (metal coiled wire) = and is=20 mounted in the center line of the fuselage behind the baggage = bulkhead.  It=20 right over the top of the Com antenna coax (RG-58).  The Com = antenna is in=20 the vertical stab.  The Com antenna coax is under a copper foil = ground=20 plane for the ELT antenna.  My Com radio is a King = KX-155.  The=20 ELT cable (telephone type) is within the wire race with other electrical = wires=20 as well as the Com coax in the center tunnel/console to the = instrument=20 panel.  The ACK ELT is vintage about 1996 to 1998.   =

The radio has never tripped the ELT.  I have had the ELT = trip=20 twice in the first year of operation (1999), once while taxing and = once=20 while in the pattern.  Both times were random while not in the = transmit=20 mode.
