Jack,

Something I forgot to mention, a little while ago we received by mistake a set of aileron bearing blocks from Lancair. Thinking these would be nice to replace the 10 years old bearings on the wing kit which I've been building here I thought to use them, however on inspection I found that the balls were literally all but 'frozen' in their housings. Maybe you have a set of these alieron bearing blocks on your aeroplane? On inspection the bearing had been inserted ...more correctly.. FORCED...into it's hole in the S/S bearing block at an angle squeezing the bearing housing to close on the ball..  Defective parts..JUNK.

Likewise with a new set of flap tracks which we ordered, they'd modified the flap track and the track slots were shorter with the result that the flaps were unable to travel their full forty degrees.  Seems that Lancair just ain't what it used to be.

Ciao,  Roberto d'Italia.
