How do you seal the "cored" part of the blanket? I made the U-shaped
cutout for the nose gear leg, and it exposed the white asbestos-like
"core" material. The only thing I can think of is to scoop out the white
stuff to a depth of 1/4" and add more hi-temp RTV. Does anyone have a
better idea?

BTW, I still plan to do the sequenced gear doors. The design is
finalized and the components picked out. It's the first thing I'll be
working on when I flip the plane right-side up.

Thanks,
Adam Molny
