Well, the fuel pump heat soaks when you shut down. It gets very hot. Until
shut down it stays cool form the temperature of the fuel running through it.
As soon as it gets above the vapor point for the fuel, it is the source for
the vapor lock that is the bane of our existence where hot starts are
concerned. If the fuel pump is cool, there is no hot start issue.
