I like it a lot. I don't travel without it. As for version 1.15, I can't see that anything new was added. I think it's just a bug patch. I did notice that I can use winds aloft now while the GPS is showing my position. Prior to 1.15 they would not work together. I sent the Tpad 800 back. Too much complexity. Once I got all working together it was really nice but, as Lee pointed out, it was just too much of a hassle to deal with regularly. The navAero company was very reasonable and gave me a full refund. What I would like to see is a compact, all-in-one package like a handheld gps that includes the receiver, computer, gps and display. I like to keep my system portable so I can check the weather anytime, especially while heading to the airport. I use a laptop bag that is large enough to hold everything including a universal battery . On my last trip to Fort Worth, I was waiting in my hotel room for the weather to improve. I was amazed to discover that I got great satellite reception in my hotel room downtown. Then I figured out that the XM satellite radio signal must be boosted by towers in and around metropolitan areas. Otherwise their radio broadcasts would be real spotty. Cool. Didn't even need a view of the sky. Is it worth the price? I guess that depends on the type and amount of flying you do. I don't regret buying it.
