In rereading my post I realized I didn't really answer your questions...

1)  Don't know if V1.15 supports a different resolution, but 800x600
works fine on the T-Pad.  I use the T-Pad with the long axis across my
lap and the screen rotated (using the software that comes with the
T-Pad) so that it is 800 side-to-side and 600 vertical, just like you
would see it on a computer monitor.  This way the presentation fits on
the T-Pad better.  To use an approach plate I have to rotate everything
90*, though.  But that isn't that much of a hassle.

2)  The wires are a major hassle if you break down the whole set-up
after every flight and take it home, as I was doing.  I can see how it
would be much more convenient to sort of semi-permanently install
everything and just pull the laptop out to take home (I use it for other
things besides flying!).  You have to remember to plug the GPS into the
same USB port, as WxWorx remembers which port it was set up on.

3)  I had no trouble with WxWorx or the little puck GPS receiver while
flying in weather, but then again, I haven't flown in very challenging
stuff.  I've gotten to be a bit of a weather weenie in my mature years.
I don't really consider my little LNC2 to be that great of an IFR
platform, either.  I use WxWorx to AVOID weather, not pick my way
through it!

4)  The radar is by far the most useful as far as I'm concerned.  I also
use the METARs and TAFs.  The cloud tops feature is also helpful.

5)  Satellite views of clouds would be nice, but I wouldn't pay any
premium for it.
