The good news is that there is a place in the Chicago western suburbs (near you, Scott) that makes small specialty glass. Seems to me their name included "scientific", as they are the largest mfr of microscope slides and cover glasses in the country, unfortunately the actual name of the company eludes me. If I think of it Ill let you know. Anyway, I know they specialize in tempering little pieces of glass, as they also make the glass for microwave doors, sight glasses for kilns, that sort of thing. I'll keep thinking.
