If you don't want to mount it behind the canopy bow you could build a little 
aluminum shelf for it off the side of your radio stack and mount it there. 
 Great reception as the signals only have to come through the canopy and glare 
shield... we mounted the GPS35 that drives the Chelton EFIS in Ted Noel's IVP 
there and enjoy wonderful reception.  HTH
