I'm getting a panel-monut GPS installed, and my avionics guy really doesn't like inside antennaes, even in a glass plane.  He wants to mount the gps antennae outside.  i told him I would check with Lancair guys about where they mount their gps antennaes inside.  He said the cable had to be short.  I've got a header tank.  I would appreciate your experience on a good place to mount the gps antennae inside.
