I bought mine directly from Lancair as part of our IV-P kit. I think it's a
very common addition that many builders make; have seen a lot of them at air
shows, etc. It consists of a modified lower rudder pivot mounting that
incorporates pins for two push/pull tubes that go forward inside the
fuselage to a pivot bracket in the tail. The "standard" rudder cables attach
to the pivot bracket inside the fuselage. Pretty slick and it works well.
Have flown a couple of Lancairs with this set up but have not flown one with
the standard cables, so can't make a comparison.
It appears that I don't have a picture of the complete assembly, but have
attached what I have. You can see the two little holes under the lower
rudder hinge mounting on the vertical stab that pass the push/pull rods
forward to the pivot. The picture of the internal pivot (belcrank) shows a
tube for the yaw damper installed, but not the push tubes that go back to
the rudder. Hope this helps!
