I prefer the EL strips over the LEDs because they lay flat... the
remaining question is RF noise from the AC transformer
Rob, is that sw labeled "IRS Payback" to claculate business flight deductions? [ plays back the last few secs of radio RX data { its
faster to say "say again" and not keep the controler guessing } -Rob ]
I use EL strips available in 1995 - Californeon pin stripes - that run about 115 cps, 85 VAC and miniscule current draw off the essential bus. They are beautifully dimmed via a Bob Nuckoll's device. I have never encountered any interference that I know (see PS below). Recently I have experimented with using a green tint clear tape over the EL to alter the night lighting characteristics. This gives me a more pleasant environment in which to read the final approach plate and psalms. Scott Krueger AKA Grayhawk
