I have the same one, though I haven't flown with it yet. To Gary's
comment, one of the guys on the
RV list suggested using a flycutter to open up an approximately 2" dia
hole in the front face. Then stuff that hollow space with stainless steel pot scrubber material and
finally build a cover plate to
cover over the hole, attaching it with pop rivets or screw/nutplates.
All the extra surface area on
the pot scrubber material should help pull more oil out of the airflow.
I went ahead and made this
mod, but if you've got the 3/4" tubing version, you can probably simply
stuff the scrubber material
through the inlet/outlet tubes.
