To Gary's comment, one of the guys on the RV list suggested using a flycutter to open up an approximately 2" dia hole in the front face. Then stuff that hollow space with stainless steel pot scrubber material and finally build a cover plate to cover over the hole, attaching it with pop rivets or screw/nutplates. All the extra surface area on the pot scrubber material should help pull more oil out of the airflow. I went ahead and made this mod, but if you've got the 3/4" tubing version, you can probably simply stuff the scrubber material through the inlet/outlet tubes.
