On takeoff I had to introduce full right rudder and get the nose up ASAP to keep the airplane from making a hard left. On landing I had to introduce hard left rudder to keep the airplane from turning hard right. It was certainly an attention getter. I spoke with the folks at Lancair and at first they told me I had to remove the nose gear and send the nose strut in to them for service. Once I had it removed, I called to find out what procedure they would want me to follow to ship my unit. Then it was suggested that I service it myself following their service procedure (which they faxed to me) to avoid the high cost and downtime of sending it to Lancair. I removed the nose gear and serviced the unit. That fixed my problem.
