If you do not consider the larger outside diameter of the thermostat itself, there is a secondary tee-pee shaped portion of the thermostat that sticks up into the housing. That measures 1.100 in diameter, and the total height of it is around .800 inches. This does not include any portion of the thermostat that is inserted into the relief groove in the water pump housing, and does not include the rubber seal or anything. Just the smaller diameter portion of the thermsostat. Take care. Paul Conner
