I am going to go ahead and get a metal prop, possibly a sensinich. Will this reduce some vibration I hope, and are there any other pros and cons to having it. My plane is fairly balanced now, so I assume I am going to have to relocate my battery somewhere in the luggage compartment behind the seats. What should I expect to pay for a fixed pitch metal prop, and any advice on manufaturers would be appreciated as well. I think on the Sensinich website they appeared to be around $2500. I have been a little leary of that due to the 2600 rpm placard limit on it, and don't know if this is going to be an issue or not. I don't run my rpm over that so unless I was in dive and wasn't paying attention (which I hope won't happen ;) ) I don't see it being an issue. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. I believe my current prop is a 68/66. I think the smallest seinsenich has is a 70, which should not be a problem. I have plenty of clearance. I also assume that my current prop is a cruise prob because I can only static run it to about 2250-2300. I take off from a 3000 ft field in the summer with a passenger and it isn't a problem.
