Bill, et al,
I love the discussion of fuel systems in the 320/360 series. Lance
could never imagined the variations introduced in this particular aircraft
plan. Big wheels/little wheels, long or short wings, big or small tail, parallel
arm or swing up canopy, Wizard of Oz engines, and fuel systems - they come in
every shape - to protect from imagined or real gremlins, to match experience, to
provide for the "mission", to be simple or complex, connected via plastic tube
or SS braided teflon, pumps in parallel or series, header or no header, egg
timer or automatic, etc.... They all seem to have worked sufficiently well
that no crash (320/360) that I know of has been caused by a failure of the
"fuel system" up to the engine pump. Bravo!
Bill, personally, I carry gallon zip lock bags stuffed with paper towels -
occasionally stained a bit yellow and deposited in the trash bin at the next
fuel stop.
I hate interruptions to a nice smooth flight.
BTW, Kudos to the zipper inventor.
