Hi all
I have noticed a couple of lancair LIV pics of the aft firewall and
notice a couple of pre preg reinforcements across the top and from the side
engine mounts to the nose gear tunnel.

I have a quickbuild kit with no such enforcements installed and
don't see any reference to them.

Do I need to install them and why would they be needed if all the engine
mounts are near the edges of the firewall and fuselage?
What is it acually reinforcing?
