I have no knowlege regarding the supercharger to which Rick Schrameck is
referring, but Rick's comment:

IMHO, this is only true when you're talking about a person, not a thing.
If someone has data in hand that a "thing" has got a problem and that
problem is known, it should be unthinkable to keep quiet about it.
Particularly for airplane stuff.
On the other hand, making negative comments about any device without firm,
corroborative engineering data is equally reprehensible.
If one really feels the need to bad-mouth some device, for no other reason
than because of a "gut feeling", at least be honest enough to presage your
remark with "In my opinion...", then others can judge the remark's validity
based on it's source.
