A "motor" is generally
considered to be something that converts
one form of non-thermal energy into
mechanical energy. there are
electric motors, hydraulic motors, air motors,

device that converts thermal energy into mechanical
energy. There are
Otto cycle (gasoline) engines, diesel engines, jet
engines, steam engines,
rocket engines, etc.

There are motorcars, motorhomes, motorboats, motorcycles, motorbuses and
motormouths - all converting "thermal" energy into mechanical action (Hmmmm, I
forgot the motorgenerator........).
Uh, Er, Um, ..An engine does the same (I cite your list) although you
can get hosed by a fire engine, a machine of war or torture, etc. Of
course there is no enginemouth, but an engine block is an arthritic cortexual
condition attributed to engineers unable to work it out.
