<<While the motor (or is it an engine?)..>>
There you went and hit one of my hot buttons. A "motor" is generally
considered to be something that converts one form of non-thermal energy into
mechanical energy. there are electric motors, hydraulic motors, air motors,
etc. An "engine" is a device that converts thermal energy into mechanical
energy. There are Otto cycle (gasoline) engines, diesel engines, jet
engines, steam engines, rocket engines, etc. When someone talks about there
"300 horsepower motor" they just installed in their car I visualize this
really big starter and wonder why would they do that....
Okay, okay, in the South all race car engines are "motors", I guess.
