Scott I can attest to the effectiveness of Vg's on the Vert stab of our Cardinal, it also has a horton stol kit and w/ both of them on the a/c we can fly it w/out the airspeed indicator showing airspeed w/ full flaps and still have full control on all axis. Its not a lancair but gives you an idea of what is possible. One thing to note is that the vg's where fairly large, I'd say in the neighbourhood of 1" tall x 1 1/2 wide[ and are a double vg style in a 'V' shape]. and only 4 or 5 on each side.

Some of us, while not interested in lowering the stall speed, would be very interested in giving more low speed authority to the rudder.  Has anyone tested the usefulness of vgs on the vertical stab?
