Jones" : Here's my suggestion--- Do not use HID or Xenons! They are expensive and---believe it or not---within a year or two you will see LED landing lights. So just hold on if you can. In the past 6-8 months LEDs have TRIPLED in brightness. You can now buy 12Candelas LEDs for about a dollar each. Within 6 months LEDs will get to 20 candelas for under a buck each, and you only need 1000 cd for a landing light, so you'll need 50 LEDs. ...EVEN if you don't use Luxeons! I am within two months of selling white led taillights. The prototypes are on my workbench. LEDs are going like a house-a-fire. Contact me off-list. Eric M.
