There is NO customs duty for aircraft parts. I just paid a $25 customs processing fee for a $18,000 aircraft engine. The shipper should have handled this and billed you for it. Any other charges from the shipper are bogus. And yes, US Customs is the worst although Homeland Security is getting close.
