I have been trying to work thorough the various ideas
and thoughts to replace the Nylaflow Brake that run
down the gear leg on the L IV and had just purchased the
D H Instruments line which seemed like the best solution
at hand.I have been really reluctant to press out the
shaft on the Trunion.I spoke to the factory and they said
they are working on a fix and described what they where
doing but couldn't give me any time as to when it would
be ready.
The fix I used is a takeoff on the factory fix it is so easy
you won't believe you didn't think of it ( or maybe you
did and just aren't sharing ) your self. The gear legs stay in just remove
the wheel/brake assemble

     The items I used
2    7ft 3/16 OD Stainless Steel Tube
2    sets AN3 male & female fittings to replace the fittings
for the Nylaflow in the base of the gear leg
1    Tool    I welded a 7/16 deep socket to a 8in. black
      pipe
I removed the wheel assemble from the gear leg and
took the tool and slip it over the Nylaflow line and down
to the fitting in the base of the leg with the deep socket
I was able to remove both male and female fitting at the same time.
I attached the AN3 fitting to the end of the Stainless
Steel tube and put the male and female fittings together
so I only needed to turn the pipe thread into the base to
secure the line into the base of the leg.
This next part is what really makes this thing so easy
and I wish it where my idea but it is a friend ( Frank) who
is helping me,  we took a hinge pin and ran it down the
leg on the side I wanted the tube to run and put the
hinge pin into the end of the tube as a guide and pushed
the tube up the leg until it came out the top. I then pushed the wheel
assemble back on.
The tube blocked the bolt holes that attach the wheel
assemble so I put a punch through the top hole to move
the tube out of the way and the bolt goes though just fine
do the same for the lower hole and attach the wheel assemble.
That's as far as I have gone, I need to cut off the
end of the tube and  work out a way to connect to the
brake line coming from the front. I will probable use a
flex line, any ideas would be welcomed
