E=1/2 X 10^3 X 170 X 170=14.5 X 10^6 (over 3 X more)

The units for mass are slugs not pounds. Divide the weight by 32.1
ft/s^2 to get slugs . Also, the original equation had 0.044, but you
used 0.44. After those changes you'll get the same result.
