I use a NACA duct flow restrictor which is simply a piece of foam wrapped in
duct tape. A little tab of tape makes a handle to pull it out. This piece
wedges in the duct, it can't go anywhere, and you can easily make several with
different amounts of restriction.

A simpler fix as opposed to installing a removable damper baffle plate to
fit inside the NACA duct. Install two nutplates on a baffle plate and use
screws through the cowling skin to attach the baffle plate. You can adjust
the temp flow by using different plates of various size and configuration.
