For those guys who have the second alternator on the legacy, what have you done to have the ability to remove it from the engine if needed? If the field wire connector and aft housing are removed will it come far enough aft to pass the studs? have you shortened the studs? I have seen some have installed a recessed area of some sorts in that area of the firewall and some have not. Choices choices...this is what homebuilding is all about.
