In last year's EAA Airventure Cup race the White Lightning aircraft had a
problem where his nose gear door remained open.
He lost about 15 mph from the previous years. Typically, he's been beating
Henny and I by a couple of knots -- not with the door problem though.

My inside, right door popped open in flight one day. I would say that
even at 140 kts the cabin noise increased by a factor of 2 to 3.
