After lots of work (understatement of the year!) Ted Noel's Lancair IVP Eagle 540 engine roared into life today for the first time. Run time was rather short as it appears that we have a damaged flare in one of the fuel feed lines to the fuel selector... that will be remedied tomorrow. We are still about a month away from heading to the airport, but today definitely marked a major milestone. It's a pretty amazing beast. Congrats, Ted, it won't be long now.
