On a related subject:  I would like to give a report on a recently installed Altrak (altitude hold) system in my 235/320.  It works GREAT!  I have the small tail and standard elevator trim (added stronger springs) which is positioned by a MAC servo via a stick hat switch.  I have an old 'Briton' pneumatic wing leveler which will be replaced by the companion wing leveler system (the least expensive model) when I can afford it.  As I've told others, the Altrak is probably the best nice-to-have investment I've made on the Lancair.  ($1495)  Earl

Maybe someone with the MKII tail will respond, or perhaps they have been rendered speechless by noting the pilot skills required to maintain stable level flight in a small tailed Lancair.
