I concur with Scott's assessment of the problem. I have mine set up
the way he describes but I have the small tail. My only reservation is that
I'm not sure if or how the linkage differs on your MKII tail. Assuming
that the basic geometry is the same, Scott's suggestions should work.
Scott, you have a small tail also, right?
