You want us to avoid putting in "uncertified and therefore unsafe/untested" EFIS systems into our UNCERTIFIED EXPERIMENTAL aircraft. We had better all stop work on our Lancairs and Glasairs and RVs because they certainly weren't tested to the same level as our spamcan brethren aircraft. Once again we're lucky that there were a few pioneers who decided that the reward involved with introducing new experimental aircraft outweighed the relative risk of flying new aircraft designs that had not undergone FAA certification... I will proceed with caution, but I will proceed. And yes I will verify that my system works well and has a long reliable history before going IMC. Thanks again for all your insight. -- Brian S.
