Hi Denny,

Here is a link to the Hysol Surface Preparation Guide:
http://www.loctiteaero.com/DownLoads/surface_preparation_guide.pdf

I'm not sure which adhesive was recommended to you by Lancair, but it
appears that either Hysol EA9360 or EA9396 would be a reasonable choice for
your application (based on my reading of the Hysol selection guide -
http://www.loctiteaero.com/DownLoads/selector_guide.pdf) .

EA9360 is a toughened, structural adhesive with a high peel strength,
however it is thixotropic (jelly like at rest bur liquefies when stirred)
and may therefore be difficult to adequately mix in the garage (I have never
used this product so I am only guessing about the mixing)

EA9396 is a toughened, structural adhesive with moderate peel strength and
low viscosity, so it should be easy to mix in the usual fashion.

Good Luck,
Mike Hutchins
