Wendell:
My mother runs a great big bed and breakfast
in Staten Island, N.Y next door to a thriving Cultural Center called
Sailor's Snug Harbor. It is 5 minutes from the free ferry
to downtown Manhattan and 20 minutes from Linden Airport (LDJ) which is much
less expensive than Teterboro, and just as close to the big city.
For 25 years we have flown back to NYC
for Christmas with all our extended family and then the intrepid
among us fly up to New England or Canada for some Skiing between Xmas and
New Years.
Feel free to call me for specific
recommendations. LEB, Stowe, Mt Snow, and Killington are great places
to visit in the fall as well as the coast of Maine and Mt.
Tremblant up north of Montreal.
