I spoke with Robert today and got the straight poop, so here it is... Both Vern and Robert work for KCI, but they have different responsibilities. Vern manages indoor sales, shipping and inventory control and is obviously the person you'll deal with most frequently when ordering parts for your project. Robert is in charge of outside sales and procurement and handles all the stuff for custom parts for other aircraft. I understand that Joe's intention is to have KCI grow into serious competition for ACS, and given his ability to make things happen I have great confidence in seeing that come to fruition. In addition to marketing proprietary parts for the entire Lancair line, they are also positioning the organization to sell custom parts for Glasairs, Stallions, and other segments of the kitplane market. Sometime in the foreseeable future you'll be able to order parts directly from the KCI website any time of day or night, and have shipping and availability info provided when you enter your order. Until the website is fully functional they ask that you continue placing your phone orders with Vern... they'll keep us apprised of their progress and let all of us know when the site is 100% functional. I hope this helps.
