"Placed last in Redmond 100" --- that's only because I couldn't go this
year, Bob. Traditionally, the last place is reserved for me in N235SP as
it's probably one of the few original 235's (kit #52, first flown in '93)
with an O-235 for horses that enters. I'm guessing at this, based on the
fact that though I'm always last over the finish line, I usually get a 1st
place "win" in the 235 (unmodified) class even though Lance's calculations
for race speeds have always shown me at around 195 MPH!
Good luck getting the right MT CS prop for your bird. I went to one for my
aircraft (two bladed electric CS) from a fixed pitch cruise prop and, though
saw a small speed increase, the takeoff's improved by a large margin. The
"pucker factor" completely went away!
