Legacy first flight was Friday, 9/5. VERY exciting. Back two cylinders showed above red-line heat, so flight only lasted about 8 minutes. Problem was bad calibration of the sensors. Now fixed. The plane handled very well and very responsively. Ran like a scalded ape. Due to the short duration of the flight and the distraction of the apparent problem there are undoubtedly issues not yet noticed, but so far so good. Since the apparent but not real heat problems precluded climb to safe altitude no exploration was done as to slow speed handling, and speed was kept higher than normal for landing. Runway is 3000'. Brakes work well. Attached picture is the take-off roll. W [Congrats on that first flight. Please let us know how she performs once you've got the adrenaline down far enough to take note. Blue skies for you.....
