As you may recall we had some discussions on this matter prior to the LML getting up and running as I was in a real turmoil as to whether to make the modifications recommended by Martin Hollmann. In the end after discussions with Lancair and Martin Hollmann himself, we did not make any modification. I would however like to mention that when talking to Mr. Hollmann he was most abrupt and when he was questioned on the bid schedule ( which he changed from his original recommendation ) and possible alternatives; all he would say was " If you want me to run the figures on that it will cost you 10,000 dollars !!!! " Some folks may also recall the "Plane Crazy" Program on TV where the guy tried to build a composite from scratch in 30 days. Who was it did the original design on this and who kept changing it, Yep non other than Mr. Hollmann. From my limited experience with the man and the disparaging comments he made about Lancair, I tend to support the views of our anonymous contributor about Mr Hollmann being arrogant, self proclaimed and out to make a financial gain on the back of this issue. I know there will always be a doubt in everyone's mind who has not made the modification but each time we get some input like this it goes a long way to reduce the concern.
