Hey Lancair Land,
Who else is going to the celebrations of the 100 year anniversary of the
Wright Brother's invention of the airplane, in Kill Devil Hills this
December?
It's going to be a big celebration with exhibits, daily activities, and
daily concerts leading up to the reenactment of the first flight on Dec
17th, with an exact replica of the 1903 Wright Flyer. It looks like
every living aviation legend will be there...

All the normal lodging has already sold out to large groups (USAF, NASA,
Navy, FAA, EAA, etc.) but there are still some close by vacation home
rentals available. Most have quite a few rooms -- but they're very
economical when you fill the house up. Here's an example of a really
nice cottage on the beach with a view of the Wright National Monument
from each floor... It's called the "Wright House". The website below
has more info:

Is any one else going to the celebrations and interested in joining in
on the lodging? Any other ideas? Valin & Allyson Thorn
