Lancair once supplied the early kits with center pin ring connectors.  Very
light and also subject to bending under stress.  While they might fit your
desires; it is my understanding that the company opted for the stronger
units although they are not as sophisticated and presentable as the original
systems.

In this case you should opt for the stronger, less pretty option.  Imagine
not being able to replace the connectors when one is bent!!!.  Also who
looks under the wing at the tie down of a lancair.  I recall at air shows
that everyone looks into the wheel wells.  And then it is only those serious
afficionados (sp) who drool all over Lancairs.
