I have a SFB kit and it doesn't seem necessary to me to have the wing attached to the fuselage and leveled for bonding on the bottom skin. I think this could be done successfully by laying the wing on a bench or concrete floor and supporting it under the leading and trailing edges to prevent any twisting when the sand bags are applied. Speaking of sand bags, how many pounds are people using out there? Anyone care to comment on the above procedure? Are others doing something else for the SFB kits? Thanks, Dan L-360 olsen@eai.com [Good idea, makes sense to me. I think the only thing I would suggest would be to transfer the level line from the BL50 rib to the inboard rib on the wing panel and to verify its position relative to the tip rib with the closeout weights applied before bonding. This would insure that the support being provided maintains the proper washout on the wing panels. The bottom skin alignment with the bottom skin on the stub wing should be verified as well, otherwise it will take a bunch of filler to fix the mismatch. ]
